I purchased this receiver just after Christmas and could not be happier. Extremely easy to use once installed (which is good because the manual is a bit 'of confusion). I especially like the scroll wheel and simple remote control that makes things easy. I installed the antenna on my dash right up near the front windshield and I have perfect reception (I'm in metro St. Louis). I recommend buying the kit at home. I did and I use the FM modulator for use in my house and I am able to receive a strong signal in most of my house. Beware however that this is an obsolete product that enhancements are limited … and once you are gone, that's all. I am also very happy to SIRIUS programming. Wide selection of music and speeches, news and entertainment. I think satellite is still in its infancy and will continue to grow and better quality. Good luck and I hope this helps.
